The man who trekked from Lagos to Abuja to celebrate the victory of Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election has debunked rumours that he is disappointed in the incumbent government. ALso Read: Naira now trade at N340 to Dollar.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that Suleiman Hashimu, who met with the president when arrived in Abuja, has said he would do it again, but this time not alone.
He told reporters that he is set to march together with some youths to show their support and solidarity for the Buhari’s actions so far. Suleiman rejected the news that he has lost faith in the president, adding that the reports are quoted out of context. The man renewed his pledge to always support President Buhari because of his capability to solve Nigeria’s challenges. “I woke this morning and some of my friends started calling and asking if I am aware of reports in the social media, claiming that I – Hashimu – have regretted trekking for President Muhammadu Buhari,” he said. “It is not true. It is a rumour, false and a lie. I did not regret my action.ALso Read: Naira now trade at N340 to Dollar.
If I have another opportunity to trek for President Buhari. I will do it again, even from Nigeria to anywhere. “I do not regret my action – trekking for him. I am in support of everything he is doing,’’ Hashimu announced.
The man trekked from Lagos and arrived in Abuja on April 20, 2015. To fulfill his promise of walking for Buhari if he elected as a president. Several days ago the news emerged that Hashimu regretted trekking for President Buhari. The media sites quoted him as saying that the APC government makes things worse for the masses.
